What are the steps involved in picking up my vehicle?

Fill out the forms, sign, and fax or mail them to us. After you order is placed and the deposit is accepted, the vehicle will be scheduled with the carrier. You will receive a call from the driver 12-24 hours in advance to schedule a time and date for pick up. Before loading the vehicle, the driver will inspect the vehicle on the Bill of Lading. The person releasing the vehicle will verify and sign. The same Bill of Lading will be given to the person receiving the vehicle and they must also verify and sign it.

On what type of transporter will my vehicle be carried?

Most are transported on multiple car carriers, the same type used to transport new vehicles from the manufacturing plant to dealerships.

Will I have to drive my vehicle to a designated area?

Car carriers are 75 feet long and are unable to enter most neighborhoods due to road weight restrictions and industrial boundary lines. Therefore, you and the driver will designate a meeting point for pick up/drop off.

What if I am not available to pickup or release my vehicle the time the driver wants to?

Terminals are sometimes used if you are not available. You may leave the vehicle at a terminal for the driver to pick up, but you must authorize the staff to release the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading. If for any reason the driver cannot get in contact with you for the drop off, he or she will leave it at the closest terminal and the staff will inspect and sign the Bill of Lading.

Can I pack personal items in my vehicle?

A limit of 50lbs of personal items may be placed in the trunk of your vehicle. Personal items are not covered by carrier insurance, so it is at your own risk to do so.

How long does it take to have my vehicle transported?

Vehicles being transported over 1,000 miles typically take 7 to 14 days to reach their destination. Placing your order 1 week in advance of your desired pick up date will help move along the process. We would like to at least have a 2-3 business day window to schedule the pickup of your vehicle.
